You may or may not remember but back in January when everyone was busy making New Years Resolutions I declared that I would be continuing to hibernate. My rationale: in the UK we were in the depths of winter. Not the most natural time to start extreme behaviour changes. Instead, it was a time to rest, recharge and seek comfort.
Now, though, as the days grow longer and the world awakens from winter’s slumber, spring offers a natural opportunity for renewal. While many people associate resolutions with the New Year, spring is arguably the best time to start fresh, set new intentions and embrace healthier habits. This is why Michael Crinnion, founder of Mind Body Goals and I are joining forces to bring you the Spring Reboot. Together, we will share resources, strategies and support to help you make this spring a season of meaningful change.
Over the next two months, we will be diving into the Spring Reboot, focusing on simple yet powerful ways to bring mindfulness, gratitude and intentionality into your daily life. Through a series of blog posts, we will explore how journaling can help cultivate these habits and set the stage for lasting change.
What to Expect in This Series
Each post in this series will focus on a different aspect of personal development, with an emphasis on using journaling as a tool for development. Recognising the power of these practices, we created three dedicated journals to help guide and support you and we will be sharing more information about these. Here is a sneak peek at what is coming:

Why Spring is the Perfect Time for Change
Spring is a season of transformation. Just as nature renews itself, shedding the dormancy of winter in favour of growth, so too can we take advantage of this fresh energy. The longer days, warmer temperatures and increased sunlight can have a profound effect on our mood and motivation, making it an ideal time to reassess our goals and realign our daily routines with what truly matters to us. I don’t know about you, but for me, the sunshine lifts my mood, giving me a much-needed boost in energy, something I definitely didn’t experience in January.
Interestingly, this lift in mood is also supported by research. Studies suggest that exposure to natural light can boost serotonin levels, improving mood and overall well-being. This means that starting new habits in spring may be more sustainable than those set in the darker months of January. When we feel energised and positive, we are more likely to stay committed to our intentions and make meaningful progress.
The Power of Community and Shared Motivation
Embarking on a journey of personal growth can feel daunting, but it becomes significantly more achievable and enjoyable when done alongside others. Studies have shown that people who pursue goals with social support are more likely to succeed. Knowing that others are on the same journey fosters a sense of accountability and motivation, making it easier to stay committed to new habits.
This is one of the reasons why the Spring Reboot is designed to be a shared experience. Whether it’s through engaging with blog posts, participating in discussions, or simply knowing that others are reflecting and journaling alongside you, there is a unique power in feeling as though you are a part of something bigger. When we share our progress, celebrate small wins and offer encouragement, we reinforce our own commitment to change while also inspiring others.
Join the Spring Reboot
As we embark on this Spring Reboot, we encourage you to follow along, engage with the prompts and share your experiences. Journaling is a deeply personal but incredibly powerful tool for self-reflection and growth and we are excited to explore these practices with you.
Keep an eye out for our next post on setting intentions in line with your values and in the meantime, take a moment to reflect.
What is one small change you would like to make this spring?
